It looks pretty good.
I hope players aren’t able to use macros to get the swings they want. I swear someone had to be cheating to score as low as they did last time.

I got under 100 and can a test that I did not use a macro. However I did use yellow stickies on on monitor indicating how far back I needed to swing for each shot. For this challenge that strategy does not work as well since the wind is more variable. I need to change up the shot each time.

Are you kidding me??? A short chip shot flies into the water from a 7 mph wind gust? A shot that short would have hardly any effect from the wind. I can see the longer drives but a short chip shot?

To address Eric and John - Regarding Macros
The players on the leader board have played a lot… say thousands of shots to achieve their scores. One thing is for sure, practice does make perfect. But there is no doubt some people will try to make macros.
Inserting wind and variable wind speeds is just the beginning on how we are addressing marcos and bots. We take it very seriously to make sure that a good player can out think a bot and get a better score. Course management is a very important part of the game and we will reward players how understand golf and can out strategize a machine.
This being said we analyze swing data regularly to detect bot’ing which is not tolerated in the game.

Regarding the new course. This inew challenge is on the same course and same holes that I was playing prior to 8/15/07. It is just different locations on the fairways and different distances. Was there suppose to be a new course ? Mine is not. I do not have a problem with it, I was just wondering.

We are not yet ready to bring Kiawah Island Ocean Course live. Right now we are shotting the course and gathering all the terrain data. It will be 2008 before you can play a new course. This being said we will keep you updated as to our progress and I will try to “leak” you some behind the scenes photos.

If you are getting timeout errors of loading errors please e-mail us. Since only a few people have this problem, it is hard to replicate in our test environment. We need your help to fix this issue. Tell us what machine and browser you are using.

Yes, we will be adding a left-handed player to our next version of the game. Sorry we don’t have one now!
