Kiawah Island Designer Named to World Golf Hall of Fame

Posted in Pro-Golf News at 8:00 pm by alex

In case you haven’t heard, Pete Dye, the designer of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame earlier this month. His imaginative designs on the Ocean Course (coming soon to WGT) made for some truly amazing photography. We can’t wait to unveil the new course in late summer!

    Guys:

I just wanted to follow up on the thread that is part of this entry. A couple of WGT players are mentioning “free”. Many of here at Stanford would be willing to pay greens fees to play against each other on worldgolftour, it would make it more competitive. Not everyone is an advocate of “free”. We also would pay to challenge other Schools like MIT and Harvard.

    Hi Debbie,
Thanks for your comment. WGT will be free to play for the most part, and there will be fees to enter certain tournaments. We want to make it accessible for people who just want to dabble, but also let people get competitive and raise the stakes if they choose. These features will be available in our next release.

Hi Debbie! I think once World Golf Tour is up and running at full max the rest of the site will support MMoG type gaming so you could set up a tournament challenge against those other evil schools…s

So Ted, is that why you erased my message to Debbie?

Hi Skip, we love school rivalry and in fact want to make it easy for schools to challenge each other on WGT. We do want to keep the trash-talking to a minimum on our blog, however. Thanks in advance for understanding.
