World Series of Golf Online Demo
The 2008 World Series of Golf event, which WGT sponsored, has concluded and registration for the 2009 tournament is now open. What’s really got us excited, however, is the World Series of Golf game format on WGT that is slated for release in late 2009. Go to wsgonline.com to see a demo and tutorial, which will also give you a sneak peek at the new Kiawah Island Ocean Course that we are putting the finishing touches on.

This is the finest thing I have ever seen since sliced-bread. I can not wait to bet against my collegues and basically use my superior skillset at online golf to take the pot. Congratulations, I do believe that WGT will generate hundreds of millions in revenues off this idea of combining online golf with Texas hold’em.

Can’t wait for this one Alex. Once you are on the green, is the person who bets first the one who puts first, or is it the person farthest from the hole like regular golf?
Is the Kiawah Island Ocean Course the one releasing this summer for WGT or is that only for the late 2009 release?

The person who bets first putts first. The Kiawah Island course is releasing this summer, and the World Series of Golf play format is slated for 2009.

Wow, I hope the physics will improve. I mean it’s fine in the charity challenge, but in this it just bounces so unrealistically.

The World Golf Tour (WGT) game on Kiawah Island will be available later this summer. The World Series of Golf format as seen in the demo will be available in 2009.
There will be no cost to play the WGT game. However, there will be some online tournaments where you will need to pay an entry fee to play.

Not sure what CPG is but I play just about every game under the sun. WGT, Ages of Empire, WOW and NHL 2k take up most of my time right now.

I just got an idea. What if there was a tee time system so you could see the groups playing ahead of you and behind you? I think that would be very cool and increase the realism.

There is no scheduled release date for this yet, but we are shooting for mid-2009.
