Congratulations to goodhorse for winning a TaylorMade Burner, and Disquiet and cbartz for winning a WGT Polo and TaylorMade balls in the May Charity Challenge drawing!
We apologize for the late notice. The winners from the June drawing will be announced soon. We’re still giving away prizes every month, so keep playing for your chance to win.
As we approach WGT’s debut of The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, our film crew is already busy photographing our next course, Pinehurst Course No. 8 in North Carolina. Below are some behind-the-scenes photos of our crew shooting from a helicopter so tiny it fits on the cart path!

Everywhere you look these days there is a sale, promotion, or give-away going on. Kind of makes me think about all the things I overpaid for when times were better. No matter, getting in on the good deals now will average things out, right? Here are some promotions we came across that we thought we’d pass on:
Callaway Gas Card (ends tomorrow!): Free gas card with purchase of driver
Hilton Garden Inn Golf Giveaway: Stay overnight, get a round of golf for two
Edwin Watts Summer Clearance Sale: 50% off drivers
Golfsmith: $25 gift card with purchase of qualifying driver
TGW: Additional 40% trade-in value promotion
The blogosphere is abuzz with excitement and speculation over rising star Anthony Kim’s win at AT&T National. Why all the fuss? Kim became the first American under 25 to win twice in a year on the PGA Tour since Tiger Woods. Will Kim’s rising star fizzle out, or will he prove to be a bona fide rival to Tiger? What do you think?

Whether you are off to someplace exotic or having a simple barbecue in your backyard, WGT wishes you a wonderful Fourth of July! We found this helpful map that pinpoints some of the popular fireworks shows, and thought we’d pass it along. Have fun

The 2008 World Series of Golf event, which WGT sponsored, has concluded and registration for the 2009 tournament is now open. What’s really got us excited, however, is the World Series of Golf game format on WGT that is slated for release in late 2009. Go to wsgonline.com to see a demo and tutorial, which will also give you a sneak peek at the new Kiawah Island Ocean Course that we are putting the finishing touches on.

The U.S. Women’s Open at Interlachen Country Club is underway, and some of the biggest names—Sorenstam, Ochoa, and Wie—are nowhere near the top ten going into Round 2. How will it play out over the weekend, and who will you be cheering on?

WGT is a proud sponsor of the 2008 World Series of Golf in Las Vegas, and a couple of us got to go and experience the fun. In case you are unfamiliar with the event, it’s an amateur-only tournament that has been described as “the texas hold ‘em of golf”. Players ante on each tee, and the player who wins all the money from the other players in his group advances to the next round.
The show will air on CBS June 28 & 29 from 2-3pm EST. Click here to check your local listings.
Here are some photos we took while we were there:
